The presentation that I was looking forward to the most at Bloggforum was Ben Hammersley’s talk on “Eight ideas that will really revolutionize the 21st century (and why blogging isn’t one of them)” – which also is the basis for a book in 2007. I had never heard Ben speak before – missed him at Reboot 7 – so I was interested in what he would come up with.

I was not disappointed. Ben is an original thinker and has a lot of things going on. I have been following his writings on-line for some time, but never got around to reading any of his books.

As with Moz’ presentation, I did not manage to get all of Ben’s presentation on film (darned battery life / memory card limitation), but I did get something down.

Again, I will refer to Lotta’s post on this. She did an excellent job in transcribing a large chunk of his presentation as well as publishing a podcast from it. Great!

I left this session feeling really inspired, but also somewhat sad. The responsability we bear – will we live up to it? Or will we allow them to destroy it, beat the communication channels down, all in the name of fear?
